The local U-Pull-It yards do a 1/2 off sale on most holiday weekends. Got there when the gates opened and scored F41 front and rear sway bars. Also swiped some firewall braces from a Monte Carlo. While I was there I got a fresh rebuilt head and a spare 5-speed for my Datsun 1200 coupe. I almost got out with change from a $100 bill but not quite. If I had cores to turn I would have. All in all it was a beautiful day at the yard. It's bad enough that they charge "environmental fees" on everything -- They actually charged me $2 core for the sway bars  . My parts pile continues to grow...

I went today too and scored a few good parts.. Some fender braces off a 78 Cutlass, front bumper filler and a third brake light off a 87 GP. It was also a good day for me. 😀

hit the local pick n pull here last weekend............found an 85 cutlass supreme with brand new dual exhaust. took me about an hour to drop the rearend and cut the exhaust bolts and hangers (both front fenders were gone) 40 bucks.........................sweeeet

peace

Around here they cut catalytic converters out with a Sawzall before the cars hit the yard. Chances of finding a complete exhaust system are 0%. Nice score! The also punch holes in gas tanks, transmission pans and oil pans to drain the fluids. :x

I never understood the philosophy behind this method of 'fluid removal' Seems to me those parts are worth something to someone without holes punched in them

I can see them cutting cats off though, I got a guy who stops in and pays $80 cash a piece for old ones. Thats some easy funny money for the weekends
