All the best to you out there ! I have shepherds peppers roasting on the grill now as I work on the stuffing whilst I mess around on the interwebs in-between. Once the bread is done wifey will will slide some Turkey breast in the oven alongside a little sliced ham to go along with it !! Funny it does take the majority of the day to make all the sides to go along with the meal, even longer than the main course but that's what Thanksgiving dinner takes I guess. Too bad that due to the covids there will only be 3 at our table but I am sure there will be plenty of leftovers for me this week.

I hope that all of you are safe and sound, with someone to share it with ! I for one am very thankful for the safe and secure household we have. Along with those that I love to share it with. However I find myself missing all of those in our lives who cannot be here or will not be here again to enjoy each others company.

Not to de-nounce the stereotype. I myself being a die-hard Red and White for well over 150 years in my bloodline am sampling some Cab-Merlot with the occasional snifter of Alberta Premium Rye Whiskey. My fam in Boston is gathered and having a BBQ cook-out with Wine and a flat of PRB 😉 I may put some syrup in the sweet potato mash but that's our little secret OK ?

Yep, Turkey and Ham this long Weekend. Unfortunately, I can't risk visiting Mom in Manitoba this weekend, too many cases and her age. My Family also came here as Hudson Bay company men, Dr. John Rae the explorer among the 3 Brother's in the 1840's. My Grandfather came over during the big 1910 expansion, along with 2 of his Brothers from Scotland following his Great Uncles.
