I am planning to relocate my battery to the spare tire area and was curious if anyone else has moved their battery to this spot? Any photos?

Depending on how your wagon is going to be used, it could be kinda awkward putting your battery in the rear or tire well.
What would you do with the spare? It's another story if it's going to be used as a racecar. No concerns about spare tires or taking away cargo space.
If it's a street car or cruiser, keep your battery up front.

You also have to concern yourself about venting the battery unless your using an AGM type of battery.

Yeah, I am already using an Optima battery, so that wouldn't be an issue. This is only going to be an occasional cruiser so was thinking about dropping the spare for a can of fix a flat.

I was hoping to clean up the engine bay, which is why I got thinking about this initially.

Maybe you could use a space saver spare tire with a can of propellant. Kind of like what they used in some of the earlier F-body cars. It still might be a bit tight for a battery in there, though.
I guess you could use a marine plastic battery box and tuck it near one of the rear compartments.

Another place that MIGHT work could be that cubbyhole in the side panel. You'd just have to make your own panel as I have yet to see any aftermarket pieces.
