friends first car was an former cab more-door Malibu. His dad pulled inline 250 6 out of his pickup and put it in the Bu as the 305 was locked up. We pulled the full buckets and console from a scrap GP and it got a backyard 2 tone paint job. That car made the rounds with at least 5 of us owning it back and forth at one time or another over the next 7 or 8 years. The torque of the 6 would squeal the tires pretty good actually. His dad put an inline 6 in a regal that he flipped as well. They were / are great motors. Finally my dad used it as a winter beater and the floors gave out LOL

eh my GP started life as a diesel. Yeah its a Bro-ham so its "luxury"... as for options: delay wipers, AC, power windows/locks and cruise, but that's about it really. Dealer installed T-tops so not sure that counts.

I wonder if the people looking for diesels had to order them and therefore had access to the option sheet vs. just some joe getting what was on the lot? ...and were willing to put out the $$ for it?
