Header/exhaust decision...

I have a set of Flowtech "shorty" headers on my 1981 El Camino SS .(290 HP 350 crate engine) .I had them modify the transmission cross member for true dual exhaust .with 2 1/4 exhaust ,Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers ,dumps out just behind the rear tires .No cats and it past emissions when needed.

I run the cast Thornton manifolds on my 83 H/O and I couldn't be happier with them , they fit great and look great. I had to use older cutlass downpipes for these also.

If the headers don`t fit then take them back .And get some that will
