Header fit issue

I ran long tube hookers with minimal dinging to clear the frame. I had way better luck with these mid length hedmans, no clearance issues at all. They are for sale btw, PM me if interested.

what are what are you asking for the Hedmans? Do you have collectors? Thanks, Rod

No. I don't know where the disagree came from. I clicked on your link and looked at them and that passenger side design is what I would like to find. Flowtech has headers that look like that for the driver side. I didn't want to spend 5 to $600 on a pair of headers but I don't want something it's going to rust out either. I was hoping to find it in stainless or possibly going with ceramic.

You might be able to find a place locally that can ceramic coat a set of plain headers and save some money.

Too bad you're not in south western Pa, I have a new/never used set of Hedman Elite 68318 that I'm not going to use & looking to sell them.

Is everybody of the opinion that ceramic coated headers are worth the additional expense?

Ive got a small block with "factory" iron heads and long tube Hedman headers in my 80 Elco. Fit with 0 clearence issues. I bought the cheap uncoated headers then had a friend of a friend ceramic coat them. Spent a total of about $300. What brand aluminum heads are you using?

If you can't find stainless headers than your next best bet for protection would be a ceramic coated header that is also coated on the inside.
