Header issues. (SOLVED)

Ok here goes i have been trying different headers and they dont fit. And no one seems to be 100% certain on which will fit. I have a 84 Cutlass sbc with angle plug heads and factory manual zbar setup. Seems to be a problem finding headers that work with both. Tried hedman shorties no go. Tried flowtech shorties they hit the frame. Now i think I will go long tube. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

It seems to probably be because you are running angle plug heads. You might have to call some manufacturers to see if they offer headers that will work with angle plug heads.

The Hooker 2451 headers say they will not work with angle plug heads.

You are 100% correct the angle plugs are my problem. It looks like my only option is Patriot headers H8047. Summitracing and patriot say they will work with angle plugs and zbar. Going to buy a set and hope for the best.

So have I in the past. But they won't work with the factory clutch z-bar.

drop the z bar set up and out a hydraulic set up in there. clear any header then!

Boy - I read right over you having a stick, Too early and the brain not working and I read your build right above my reply which you had an auto. I'm suprised the car didn't run better times.

Brain still not working?? Lol. There is only one car in my build which says 4spd super t10. The first one is still an auto and the 11.18 pass was first pass car ever made with just base tune. Lol. I would only destroy more sh*t if it was a stick.

I would agree but not a fan of hydraulic I like the feel of the old stuff.
