These are stainless steel headers with thick 3/8 flanges . they cost 179.00 on ebay .

Those look like some nice headers.

The whole theory with cheap headers not fitting is just that, a theory. I have read countless stories about people that have high dollar headers that had to be modified to fit. It happens with all headers, mainly because every car will be different in a little way.

with cheap and expensive headers it a chance they wont quit fit??

Been running Flowtechs (the same pair) for around 5 years and had zero problems with leaks of any kinds. Rusty as heck but there is not a whole lot to do about those. Great fitment, zero problems, I'll throw another set in the car whenever these start giving me problems.

I would say the only differences are what your looking for. Shortys, or long tube ect. Ceramic is definatly the way to go if your budget will allow it. I'm definatly kicking myself for not going with ceramics. Now I have a nice stainless system, with rusty brown headers. But they dont leak. I've heard of people buying cheap and people buying expensive headers and both have had problem, don't let this scare you tho, it's not very common to have problems with fit as long as they say their for your vehicle. Use good gaskets though, you'll be happy you spent the extra $ later

There is more of a chance cheapo headers will have fitment/clearance issues and less of a chance better/more expensive headers will. Better headers will also last longer and are less prone to leaking. Some also give better performance too. There's a reason Flowtechs don't cost alot of money and quality ones like American Racing headers do ( $850 )

Make no mistake, headers can be a real PITA. Best thing to do is get a set of good ones from the get go. I personally wouldn't run a set of Flowtech cheapo's on my car if I got them for free installed but then again, I prefer to go with the best on my car.

It all depends on what you want your car to be. If you want it to be a show car that only sees the road 3 or 4 months then go with ceramic. If you wanna drive it everyday and arent too worried about the look of the headers then you should be fine with a decent set of painted Flowtecs or whatever brand you prefer. I've never had a problem with my flowtecs but theres people that say certain brands are sh*t because there cheap.

People who say the cheapo headers are sh*t are people who have actually installed them and have experience with them. I don't know anyone who has ever said brand X headers are crap without first hand experience to back up their claims. I had a set of Flowtechs years ago. Mine were complete crap. Others I know and respect have had the same results. Few have had good results. For me, the verdict is in...no Flowtechs for me.

I think it's wrong for anyone who claims brand X [insert car parts here] are crap just because they're cheap without any facts to back them up. Unfortunately, not all 'car guys' are smart.

I'm running the flowtech afterburner headers..............great headers with no fitment issues 8)
