eventually when all the swapping and such is done, a hydraulic linkage would be ideal. when the swapping time comes, I'll be looking into new headers. I'm just buying a set now to get me by for cheaper cause I have a hole in one. I was looking at a pair of Shoenfelds. Believe they were 1 5/8" then 3" exit. They were for a Malibu 305, which I was told is the best comparison to use when worried about clearances. They are painted for shipping protection, so I was going to strip them and high temp prime and coat them. But for $400 or so, I can get a header back true dual exhaust with small flowmasters. Are you going to run mechanical clutch linkage or hydraulic? A hydraulic setup will open up your options. Some headers don't work with angle plug heads so watch that. I have read that the Hedman Hussler long tubes fit with mechanical linkage. I've seen people praise the Flowtechs for automatic applications which would presumably work with a hydraulic clutch setup. Do you want painted, coated, or stainless? Budget?
