i have some local to me on craigslist. i am wondering if these would be a plus or not for me.

from jimsperformance.com

3795896 60cc 1.72 1.50 1958-72
283/307/327

idk if that would make too much compression or if they'd even work at all for my car. thanks.

EDIT: the add is stating they have 2.02 valves.

These aren't the double hump heads. So you're making a lot of compression and not much power. That's the problem with 327 heads. Flat top pistons would be out of the question for a street build. I personally wouldn't go those heads, but it depends on what kind of results you want for the price.

yeah, i'm in the market for new heads, probably gonna buy new. but if i can get something decent local i'll go with that.

i have been searching for something quick to wake my engine up. would those be an option or would maybe these 305 heads?
casting number: 14014416

14014416...80-86...305..........1.84"/1.5" valves, 58cc chambers

i guess my biggest question is my cam too big for a 58cc or 60cc head?

im running the 416's right now with a 480/510 lift cam, motor seems to respond good to them, only problem ive had is my fuel pump decide to work when it wants to

Circle track guys love those 416's, some 601's too. Depends on what they come off (for the 601's anyway).

im def debating getting those 416's
