Hey everyone, I have a set of E-Street heads on my 383 stroker, I was wondering how much of a difference it would make ! Horse power wise if I went with the junior's from Edelbroke ?
Anyone here help me out ?

I'd seriously look into AFR heads, they may cost abit more, but they work. The e-street heads are basically a stockish no thrills aluminum head from my findings & what i'v heard.

The Vjrs are better than the E-Streets, But the Victors are not better than AFRs. IMO, I'd find a good machine shop and port the E-streets. They should have plenty of material to out flow stock Victors and be right there with stock AFRs. Depending on what your using the motor for of course. DD, Street/strip, or Competition, a good shop can work wonders.

The Victors are "OK" the e-streets are OK when ported, anyone can port, finding a skilled competant porter is expensive. AFR is an excellent choice but again, an expensive one. Take a look at Pro-filer, best bang for the buck by a long shot. Look at 195's for a primarily street 383, a healthy street/strip 383 would make use of their 210's with the right cam/compression/intake
Starting at $1050.00 they are a deal and rival AFR offerings.

Sounds like your wanting more, You can spend the money on the e-streets, Or go with a 210cc runner & build around them, I ran the 200cc Iron Eagles on my 406, with 10.4 compression, a 245/245 dur. cam, 4400 stall, 4.11s gears i wasn't happy, It was either a crappy head design, or it needed 220cc runners. A 469 BBC took care of my i'lls lol.

I didn't notice your sig, most answers are there, with 10.1 and a mid 230-240 duration cam, 540 ish lift, i would look at a set of AFR or Pro-Filer 195's for a significant increase from what you have now. The 210's really aernt needed at this point and would likely leave you soft on the bottom end.

Surprising enough the AFR's or Brodix bare castings are a great deal priced right for you to fill them with your choice parts over time and end up really having something.
