Hey, I'm gonna have to drive my project elky for a bit while I rebuild the transmission on my other car...so here's my question.
What is the easiest way to mount an aftermarket headunit in the dash? The previous owner did some very shady work and I'm not sure what brackets are missing but the unit was basically just sitting in there flopping around.

So i appreciate any advice or pictures so I dont have to drive with no sound...its horrible.

i'll post pictures of what I'm workin with if anyone needs to see. It appears there is some metal bracket that used to be there which is partially missing so I'm not sure how it all goes together there. I cant really see any sturdy place to mount it..

Get a $10 mounting kit at Wal Mart, problem solved.

get the wiring harness adapter while you're at it, if the previous owner didnt already hack the sh*t out of the factory wiring

oh the previous owner definitely did some hacking. I'm gonna have to get in there and find out what the hell he did. Most likely i'll be just re-doing the whole stereo since he had it running on 2 weak *ss tweeters mounted in a piece of cardboard. 🙁

i'll check the universal mounting kits next chance i get.
