Thinking of installing a heated O2 sensor upgrade in my CCC 305 Regal. Only question I have is how to wire it up? Specially the positive heater lead. Splice it into the choke wire or the under carb heater grid power lines? The non heated O2 sensors tend to cool off while idling even with stock exhaust manifolds, and I have TES headers.

You just need a +12V while in crank/run to energize and heat the sensor. I did the upgrade on my efi swap, but need to see if I can use the same sensor for my LS swap.

Then the choke heater wire should do?

Not to be a smart a**.. but why? All it does is warm up the O2 sensor a smidgeon quicker to allow closed loop computer control but all other parameters still have to be meet such as air/coolant temp, throttle position, MAP, run time. You may get better emissions and mileage but you probably will not be able to measure unless you have a lab. Is it cool to do that?....Something different and I get it.
