Does a BBO with Edelbrock Performer intake sit at the same height as a SBO with a Performer RPM?

So let's say if you fabbed up some fancy cowl induction hood set-up that fit perfectly with your SBO w/Performer RPM intake. Would you be able to swap in a BBO w/Performer intake in it's place and still have it fit the same with your cowl induction set-up the way it did with the SBO?

The BBO is about an inch taller than the SBO. I don't know the difference in carb flange height between the SBO RPM and the BBO Performer, but my 455 with a performer, Edelbrock 1406 and a 2 1/2" drop base air cleaner fits under my stock insulated hood. Assuming your cowl setup mates up at a higher point than this, you should be able to make it work. If you'd like, I could put a straightedge across a couple places and let you know how far the air cleaner protrudes if this would help.

Ok, looking at the Edelbrock website, it APPEARS that the SBO RPM carb pad height is 5.3", and the BBO Performer carb pad height is 4.95". The BBO is technically about .9" taller than the SBO. So all other things being equal, if the measurements are correct, the top of the BBO air cleaner should sit ((4.95" - 5.3") + 0.9") or .55" higher than the SBO air cleaner with your given setups. Fresh motor mounts could raise it even higher, but fresh body mounts could possibly drop it some. What kind of carb spacers and air cleaner are you using?

Yep, those are the calculations I've come up with too, but wanted to get some real world confirmation instead of relying on the published numbers ( which I don't ever fully trust ).
