Hello from BC

In 2006 my father decided it was time to buy a new car. The 1980? Malibu's transmission was leaking badly and it wandered all over the road when he drove it. continued below picture....

Mom and Dad decided to put all of us kid's names in a hat and draw a name to see who got the old car. I won the draw and thought it might be good for one of my kids when they turned 16. I wanted to build a 69 Camaro or 67 Chevelle ragtop. So I put it into storage for that time.

2 years ago my father passed away, it has taken some time to come to terms with the pain of that event.

My thoughts now are work on the Malibu and bring it up to a fun cruiser level. I look forward to sharing information with the board as I go.

welcome the car looks to be in pretty good shape. sorry to hear about your fathers passing

We waited for the weather to improve and brought it out of storage last week.

My 13 year old son has taken an interest in it and after clearing all of the wasp nests out of it, gave it a good cleaning. We have been scouring the swap meet & craigslist for inexpensive parts, wheels etc.

Will post more pics as we go.

Thank you for your comments re: my father
