Sup doods. I recently picked up an 84 elcamino with a 350 in it. I figured i better join the boards because i find these places are usually a wealth of information, at least they are in the motorcycle world. Anyway, heres a pic from yesterday.

I'm also looking for a solid mechanic in the nyc area. Dont mind driving a bit for good work, I'm skeptical of mechanics in nyc given my experience with motorcycle mechanics. i just need to get an inspection and get my horn and door locks working properly. Engine and everything else will come later after i can heal from the financial blow of buying the car. Thanks!! Looking forward to getting learnt on these old chevys

Hey man, where in Brooklyn are you from, and where was that picture taken...Breezy Point?

Welcome aboard! Looks like a nice El Camino.

That's at fort Tilden. In the winter you can kinda drive down around the back and park right out there on the beach.

I used to drive, or bike over to Ft. Tilden. That's also where the old bunkers are.

Welcome and nice ride--it looks clean. This board is probably one of the best collections of G-body related info; if you don't find a good mechanic in time, I'm sure you could search old posts for some fixes.

Welcome to gbf..better get the horn fixed before you try to get it inspected, as that's part of the inspection. Anyways, nice looking Elky🙂
