You'll likely break the rear end or lose traction before you "twist the car apart".

EDIT: Never mind. Just went back and reread your spec list. I missed the part where you said you had a mystery cam, dual pumper carb and a single plate intake. Your frame is doomed.

At minimum and to start get or make a criss cross brace for the back of your trunk. I got mine at Kirbans a turbo Regal vendor. Many gbody vendors sell them and probably gbodyparts who advertises & posts here. My GN is a Ttop car wears drag radials and some basic suspension mods. Not as quick & violent as yours should be but has ran many 1.8 60 foots.

The first thing it would do is crack your A pillars at the front top of your opera window. Mine never cracked. But I have seen many GNs that have especially with Ttops. They were slicks wearing 11 second and faster cars. If and when it happens its bad because its very hard to fix in a way so that it does not happen again and or be seen from the outside of the car. (Such as welding a window frame around it on the inside then repainting and bodywork on the outside.) BTW this is something to look out for when looking at buying a GN/Ttype. People will put them back to stockish putty it paint it over and sell it to let the next guy deal with it.

One thing they say with putting the criss cross brace in it is to jack the car up with the back wheels off the ground and drill all holes and the install this way so that there is no stress & its square. More bracing would be better but I am not sure where and what is important. As long as you have a good criss cross brace and regular radials you are probably ok unless you beat on it a lot for a long time and you get the suspension working well to hook decent on (cheap hard) BFG radial TAs. Its usually only experienced drag racers who get a gbody to do better than 1.9s on regular radials. Most start out with 2.2s.

BTW This is the main area where the Grand Prix were stronger than all the other gbodys. They have less cut out of the body across the back seat area and If memory serves me down the back quarter panels.

Depending on how your exhaust is routed, a simple bolt-in Xbrace might go a long way to help torsional rigidity. Are you familiar with the convertible Corvette style? It would be cheap and simple to replicate. Triangles are strong and Xs have 4 of them.

It's hard to tell because you didn't give any info other than it has T-Tops and a 454.
It's hard to tell because you didn't give any indication that you know what a capital letter or punctuation is.

Let's eat Grandma.
Let's eat, Grandma.
Punctuation saves lives!

And capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off his horse, and helping your uncle jack off his horse.

If you have no information or insight on the related topic, go find another person to judge they're punctuation. I prefer to say what i have to say quick and i also use my phone to communicate on this site there for i dont have an extra hour to proof read and mark my own discussion. Sorry i dont meet your standards. Haters are just motivation.

Hey, thanks for the info, definitely something i'm going to consider, seems everyone i have talked to all have different opinions so it seems that talking to an experienced frame shop would be the best decision. For now i will keep radials on it they spin good and dont hook up to well, im not worried about hooking up until i find out about the frame, and rear end. Thanks
