It depends on how you go.... The swap is easy to do, and you can keep your existing crossmember. Are you gonna run the computer or not? Thats the determoning factor right now....

No i will not be running the computer at all.. the transmission came with the 307 engine, and i was told its a turbo 350 and it wouldnt work. thanks for the reply

What progress have you made, if any? What trans did the v6 come with? If it came with a 200 or a 350, it will work. If it came with a 200-4R, it will not work.

Im really not sure what trans the V6 came with, im a little foreign on this stuff.im tryn to learn as i go. the process i have is, i got the engine and trans out the car, the new 307 1984 Olds number 3161-5A 3317 if that help anyone and trans is 62-60110 came with it. Headers is on the new engine and mounted in the car, but the guy who started the project (jerk) he stopped and played me. he said the trans wasnt lining up. So now im kinda stuck here at the point where i need help piecing this together.the inexpesive way and easiet but right way. Thanks for the help Sir.

Do you know if the transmission had 3 or 4 speeds? If it had 3 speeds, it should be the right crossmember. Is the trans not lining up from side to side, or is it too far ahead or behind the mount? I have heard something about V6 cars using an offset transmission mount, but I do not know for sure.

Take a look at this site. This is the correct way to this swap without hacking anything up. All the parts you need are available from a 307 powered g body in a junkyard.
