I don't know anything about this. I am located in Decatur, Ga if anyone can point me around. I have a 84-cutlass supreme (pics coming within 12 hrs of this post) with a V-6 231 3.7L motor and a 2wk olds. 350 rebuit trans, that I would like to finally upgrade and put a 350 motor in. I don't know anything really about motors besides the fact that I am resourceful and can find the parts as far as knowing if something is good or not is another question. Can anyone kinda give me a blueprint as to where I need to start or head....Thanks. My only thoughts and so far research has led me to..1) purchase a cheap motor around the way say craigslist &---->I've found one he says 275.00 will do so. and 2)Either remachine it or just throw it in the car and cross your fingers and go. But I forgot to mention I want this upgrade to be financially moderate but worthy of riding in excess of 100,000 miles if say trans allows. and a not to much of a gas drinker (gusler) but fast and a head turner. What parts from A-Z will I need to convert from my car. I know maybe the ummm...... lets see radiator, water pump, distrubtor, oil pan, and will the chassis match up to v-8 considering I now have a v-6 in the car. I will get pics fellas so we can get a visual. ok bye and thanks direct email [email protected] located Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083

You will need the v-8 motor mount stands that bolt to the frame. A battery tray for the driver side or a long battery cable, the fuel lines from a v-8 car since the pump is on the opposite side or run a rubber hose across the car. I would find a v-8 doner car to make it safe but its up to you.

Check out speedwaymotors.com for a radiator. I got the universal from them, just had to measure my stocker. Way cheaper than the gbody specific one and it fit pretty well with the v8 cutlass radiator hold down. It is a lil bit taller than stock, just make sure you take a few measurements to see the difference, it doesnt bother me at all.

ok i did the same thing with my 85 cutti i took the 3.8 out and put a 350 in from a 74 cutti. The car ran fine before i took the motor out of both car now. i cant get a spark i took the ecm out and went with an advance dist. Now the real question is if my distributor timing isnt set right will that cause a no spark?
