help!!sbc tapping sound

I have a sbc 350 and i cant get the #1 cylinder exhaust valve to stop ticking i put new lifters and push rods and the sound is still there what could it be & yes i adjusted the rocker arms right

No its not a exhaust leak already checked that

Yes because the higher i rev it the louder it gets

I had a similar issue in a pickup i had, Ran a bottle of lucas oil, and some transmission fluid through the gas and never heard it again, then i sold it! definitively not a permanent solution but it worked,

Could be a lobe wiped off the cam

If a lobe got wiped off the cam wouldnt a lifter be cupped to?
