Well, I'm still stuck in my debate for my '83 wagon as to whether I should run my 15x7 & 15x8.5 slotted mags, or if I should keep the stock 14x6 SSII's.

My question is, what are you guys that have 14"s running for tire sizes? I'm trying to get an idea of what would look right since the stock size is a tad small...

Pics would be awesome if you have some handy.

My Sonoma had 225/70s on it when I got it, profile/width looked decent for 14s. Comes to about 26.5" in diameter.

235\60\14 or if you can find them 245\60\14. Both work with no issues.

I used to run the 235\60\14 Eagle ST tires on my cuttlass ( back in the early 90's ). And my buddy used to run 245\60\14's BFG TA's on his 'bu.

245s will physically fit, but you'll wear out the center of the tread rather fast. It's really too wide for a 6" wide wheel.

how about 14x7's? I just bought a set off rally II wheels off ebay, a real nice set, and am wondering myself about what tires to put on them. My stock 14x6 factory tires are 195's I think, and I really want something wider to grip the road after I drop my 350 in it.

245/60/14 should do nicely on some 14x7s.

If you're worried about grip, I'd recommend a Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 over the BFG Radial TA, if they're still available in that size. Just a better tire in every possible aspect.

just got my ssii's powdercoated...because im low on funds..im gonna go with some ps860 primewells
