Sweet! Love seeing survivors that have been in the family. Mine has too.

welcome and that will be a nice Regal once it's done. I almost thought that was Mr Sony's Regal but with the straight front bumper it can't be his....🙂
Watch it....
to be honest I thought it was the same metallic dark whatever mine was, def looks like it in the 1st pic. Never seen a regal that shade of red with the same purple top mine had.

Since it only does it after the car's been off, that fluid must be from the converter backfilling into the transmission. First thing, get the car hot (upto operating temp, or drive it for about 30 minutes), and park the car. Let it idle for about 5 minutes to settle down, and check the fluid level. Should be full. Shut it off and get under the car and look where it's the wettest. You'll either see it, or there will be accumulated dirt/grease/mud there. Put a large piece of cardboard under the transmission and that will tell you approximately where it's leaking. Worst case, front pump seal. Best case, anything else. These are the places that can leak on a Th350: Front pump, input shaft seal, dipstick tube hole, kickdown cable hole, governor cover, vacuum modulator (only if really bad), trans cooler fittings, trans cooler lines, vent tube (if over full), extension housing to transmission body seal, output shaft seal, speedometer cable hole, speedometer gear housing o ring, shift shaft, pan gasket, etc.

Hello and welcome to the forum from West Virginia. I'm fairly new here also but really like this place. Many nice people are here to say the least. Great to still have a G-Body from the family and staying in the family......

yeah, well you just don't know us yet🙂

Welcome! I think it's pretty cool that your Regal has been in the family since new!

Welcome aboard!
Looks like a nice solid car. Great to hear that it's been passed down thru the family.
