Hi,
I'm Janice, from NY...Yes a girl interested in cars.....LOL
Anyway, I'll give you the story of how I got my Grand Prix.
Back in 2007, a guy had one listed with a re-built motor (Olds 307) trans (200 r with shift kit), and he threw in a posi rear with 3:73 gears (that need to be installed), and other bits and pieces.
I drive for a living, and my "driver car at the time (1990 Integra) crapped out on me, and I was forced to drive the Grand Prix for a bit. Wasn't too happy about it, but I would lose my job with no wheels!
Anyway, some stupid bee-yatch made an illegal right hnd turn (she was in a left lane) in front of me, and I T-Boned her. It messed up the header panel, and front fender...some assorted brackets. Needless to say...I was PISSED...and she knew it! I didn't get one red cent from her insurance company, because the cops down in Yonkers don't want to waste their time on accident reports.
So, 10 days later, I am about to make a left hand turn into a road, on a double yellow line, and some dumb dumb decides to PASS me! So, he T-Boned ME, and now my door is toast. His insurance company totaled out the car, but I got to keep it.

So, I retired the car, has sat for a year and half, and am getting parts little by little. $$$$ is tight (like everyone else!) The plan in 2010 is to paint it black, put centerlines on, and POSSIBLY put a 350 in it with a 700r4 trans. I am on the look-out for something motor wise, but, we'll see. At least I'll have the car looking nice again.
Learning a lot here...so, thanks!

Welcome! The car looked good before the wrecks. Thats great that you plan to save it and your plans sound good. Good Luck.

bummer about the accidents but sounds like you got the game plan all laid out. 350s arent hard to come by good luck to you

Hi Guys,
Thanks!
I forgot to mention the car will have the frame painted (has one coat now) with Por-15. There is really only surface rust (from sitting). 🙁
Here's some pics!
Sorry if they're huge- I'm working on making them a wee bit smaller, even my sig pic... 😳

Some bits that I've taken off and painted. I used epoxy paint; a friend of mine who's into bikes used to get his stuff powder-coated. Well, one day he dropped a wrench on his new project, and it chipped the paint. He swears by this epoxy paint....we'll see!!

welcome, hey if your interested down the road,i have an olds 350 laying around...unless you want a chevy 350.That really sucks about your car though,i would be in shock if that happened to my cutlass  .

Thanks, Minion...I have to consult my mentor, Vic, about the motor...He's a machinist...so, he'll be the one helping me out with the motor. And, the body work, and whatever else!! 8)
This car is like the Six Million Dollar Man....
Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology....
Hopefully, getting the parts doesn't cost that much...LOL

Thanks 86Monte...
My friend Vic wants me to get rid of them...I think they look OK...I was going to clean them up and make them look nice...But, he also puts tires on his cars that are like 3 feet wide.... LOL
