Lookie what I found. Went searchin for the paint code and stumbled upon the window sticker. THIS THING HAS 2.14 GEARS IN IT😳 Guess that's because it dudn't have the overdrive trans, but still....

Welcome. Nice looking car. IMO it just needs nicer wheels and tires. Then do WHATEVER you want. I agree, don’t make it a racer

welcome from Greensboro!

nice looking cutty! personally, I'd throw some wheels on it and call it done! once you start looking at mods, you'll travel far,far down that rabbit hole called "while I'm in here".... 🤔

Welcome to the club from Fremont NC

Welcome! I had an 87' with very similar options, identical drive train with 2.14s, old man fresh with around 60k when I purchased it. One of my biggest regrets was selling that thing, it ran absolutely flawless. I use to run 89 octane in mine and cranked the timing way up. She was a happy camper.

Could always re-gear and hit the strip! Would love to see what that 307 could do.

Welcome from Ontario Canada. Very nice looking Cutlass! You'll find lots of good folks and information here. If I may ask, what's the powertrain currently in your Cutlass now? V6? V8? You mentioned no overdrive and the 2.14 rear gears, but what engine is powering the car?

Couple more NC bois I see. Howdoo. Actually just got some code match paint for to redo the wheels. Kinda always liked the ss1's if ya got all the trim on em. Car's been painted but not the wheels so Ima remedy that

I've been down the rabbit hole before. Spent over 10 years modifyin my 78 into a reasonably repeatable footbraker.
