hey guys, just had a quick question for you. I just put a 200r4 in my cutlass as well as a Holley 750DP. I did some research and was told I needed to buy a new kickdown/throttle bracket as well as a peice called a geometry correcter. I ended up buying a new kick down cable as well as the bracket and geometry correcter and decided to have the shop to set it up for me while they were putting my new exhaust on I was pretty worried I was going to set it up incorrectly.

So I got my car back from the shop today and got it home. I was pretry excited to check out my new dual exhaust so I didn't look under the hood until I got home. (Car has a freshly built motor in it that has not been broken in so it was towed home and not driven) That's when I noticed that he did install the cable for me but he never ended up using the geometry correcter that I gave him and was told I needed.

Is it possible that it can be done without this piece or is it more likely that he didn't set it up right?

I spent quite a bit of money on the rebuild of the transmission so i really don't want to make any mistakes and burn it out on my first drive lol

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated as always. I'll also include a pic of how he has it set up so you can see for yourself.

The geometry correcting bracket bolts onto the throttle linkage. Less than $30....

I actually gave them the geometry corrector with the cable when i asked them to install it. When i got home I looked it over and noticed the they opted not to use it when installing it and found it on the passengers seat. I probably should have looked before I left but I was excited about getting a new exhaust so didn't check under the hood until I got home.

I called and asked the shop and asked they why they didn't install the corrector with the cable and the guy basically said he didn't remember me telling him about it (I definitely did though lol) and that they set it as good as they could have with the setup I have. I probably should have just had my exhaust done and said nothing about the cable now that I think about it.. but what can you do.

I just finished unhooking the cable and putting the corrector on the carb a few days ago so all the proper brackets in place now. I am going to spend some time on Saturday and see if I can look up how to set it up and just get it done myself.

Any advise for setting it would be appreciated as always.

Kind of curious, would this bracket work on a quadrajet with a Th350 style slotted kickdown cable?
