homemade radio faceplate

havent had any luck finding a faceplate at the boneyards and the cheapest is $65 on ebay so i made one using a storage bin top. the paint i used make it look like a radio kit, only if my cutting skills were sharp though lol. if you dont have any tunes in your car because of a missing faceplate then just make one. thank yal God bless.

Looks good! Is that a Malibu...or ?

I might have one here that is already cut and would help cover the HVAC controls as well...

I made the same concept out of flat aircraft aluminum painted black. The harder part is finding a decent factory face plate for the dash opening. The cigarette lighter socket is a good spot to put a dual-USB adapter for your gadgetry.

i wanted to make one out of a old 2000's style texas license plate (best plates in the usa lol jk) but this turned out fine and yes i will use that for a charging port.
