The OEM hood pad on my Camino is dirty, ugly and probably ineffective. Does anyone have any low-buck solutions for hood insulation? Buying a new factory pad is not what I prefer to do. That would only upgrade to clean and ugly. I'd like something reflective, to keep heat away from my hood paint, and, of course good looking when the hood is open at a cruise. Fireproof or fire-resistant is important, too, as is lightweight material, so the hood stays up. Using the search feature really didn't turn up any ideas, so I would appreciate some input from anyone who's tried something different.
