question on wiper arms and blades when using a cowl hood....

Just wondering if you have a steel or fiberglass hood. When I had the Harwood cowl hood on the '81 the rear edge had to be trimmed to allow the arms to seat & sweep.
How much of the cowl did you have to remove? This thing started life as an 81 that was modded to look like an 86.

Maybe try a shorter blade on the right side. IIRC, GM did sell a curved wiper blade for the 1995-2002 Blazer. I don't know if they still do. You may be able to find a set of OEM wiper arms. They are quite a bit thinner than the new replacements. I had to do that on my 73 buick.
Thank you! I'll take a look.

To be honest it was 25 years ago & I can't remember the exact amount but it was enough to allow the wipers to move as the Harwood rear edge is the same as the front & side edges in height. I also was using the newer style wiper blade arms that replaced our OE design. I have a set of OE ones for when it all goes back together. As for the cowl itself, it's the same stamping between '78-'88 so there shouldn't me an issue there. I would thing trying a set of repops ore OE blade arms might make a slight difference in contact issues just because the wiper arm itself will be closer to the windsheild as the mount hole is closer to the rubber.
