hood ornament cable?

hood ornament it got knocked off some how but i cant see where the cable went where does the cable comes from ?

Cable? On the olds ornaments, there is a wire fed through the hole in the ornament itself that is bent both ends downwards, and a spring goes around that wire, and the ends of the wires are bent up to hold that spring. I don't know if thats what you are talking about, but if that helps, sweet!
