I finally got around to building a mock up of what I want my hood to look like. These are made out of cardboard just for dimensional consideration. They are about 1" tall at front and 1/2" at the rear. The final ones will be fiberglass and bolt on. Opinions?

Looks nice but I'm not sure they would work that well because they're too far away from the front of the car. I could be wrong though. Looks better than the current available ram air scoops. I would add a more gradual curve/slope to the front though. Would make it look less 'blocky' and a bit more 'sleek'.

How about mocking up a similar style scoop but have the openings in the back? It would be a 'twin cowl induction' scoop but kinda have the look of the ram air scoops. That would be different that's for sure!
They are about 8 inches from the front of the hood. They may look too narrow if I make them much longer. I still want to make them functional to the intake on my TPI, so if the air comes in from the back, I'll have to put a duct under the hood to the filter. I had considered that, but the W-30 style, corrected, is what I have always wanted. As they sit, they line up with the grille openings. They should sit right on the feature line coming off the corner of the headlight with about 4" between them.

I have a smaller bolt on one that is going on my car. Again also for that 80s bolt on look and also this will be going on one of my aluminum hoods so I could not get a steel one to weld obviously. I will cut out the skin und the scope then put a screen in to help keep crap from being sucked into the engine compartment. Mostly going for the look and a little more air under the hood.
