I am looking at some serious hood clearance problems with the 350 going into my 81 Regal. I cannot find any aftermarket cowl hoods to fit, but I have noticed that the malibu/el camino hoods are similarly shaped. Anyone know if they will work? I've got some fiberglass ideas, but as involved as custom fiberglass gets, I was just curious if one of the many aftermarket cowl hoods I find used might fit with minor mods. Thanks.

The Olds Cutlass hood is the closest fit if you're gonna modify one to fit. It's more work than I am willing to do, though.

These guys will help you out with a fiberglass cowl hood. They are the only one of 2 companies that sell a hood for my 78 monte. The have a couple of different hoods for your car. here is the web site.
