Does anyone know of a quick fix to reattach the horn wire to the horn? The attachment point/rivet on the horn rusted off and I'm no longer able to reattach the wire.

Also, has anyone replaced the OEM horn with a newer, different sounding horn? If so, which one did you use?

Btw, Merry Christmas everyone.

I don't know of any easy way to fix the horn but possibly you could drill it apart and try to fix it. If it were me I would just buy a new one. Or even better maybe one of those old-fashioned AHH-Ooga horns.

Thanks. I thought maybe I could first solder a wire to the exposed (and remaining) connecting point on the horn, then attach it to a pre-drilled screw on the face of the horn , and then route the connection back to the steering wheel.

Merry Christmas.......I don't plan on doing this to my Olds but on my other vehicles, I've been using a (4) horn set up from an old mid 70's Cadillac boat. Each horn body is labeled with the note it plays and they play very loud and low. On my truck, I had to add an extra horn relay to take the load. Only one of the 2 factory horns was working so It was a safety issue before but now, people definitely hear me. It really takes people by surprise.

Train horns are likely illegal in most states but people do it....check out this youtube vid.
