what kind of horsepower gains should i expect from adding an Edelbrock performer RPM aluminum intake and a 750 summit carb?
Engine is bone stock 1970 3970010 block 350
i plan on doing a full exhaust next but the car wasnt running right so i got the carb first. Thanks guys

intake will add like 15 and idk bout the carb

so my peg leg 7.5 is going to get a workout with with 205/60/14 on the back of my grandma car sleeper lol

more is not always better...
you will only see power/performance gains if the parts you are adding work with your *combo*.

... but to answer your question directly... The 750 carb will likely be too large for a stock engine. It will supply way more air/fuel than your stock cam is provisioned for. You might actually see a power loss, along with loss in fuel efficiency.

And RPM intake might help your engine's over-all breathing. It will free up some top end power. As long as it's a modest dual plain intake, you will notice some minor added performance with your otherwise stock motor.

You will only see noticeable power gains if you upgrade other components of your motor... forexample, cam, heads, ignition pistons, etc...

then it seems like your best bet is to run what you have and continue to save and gather parts for your performance build. If you start throwing on performance parts on a unmatched combo, you will likely see performance losses.

what kind of carb/intake are you running now? Q-jet on a cast steel intake?

the parts you mentioned (heads, exhaust, lunati cam, etc...) sound like a good matched combo.

but listen here im runnin a 650 holley and its almost too much for my motor....read my sig thats the mods done...

i have some piece cast intake and a 2 bbl that works when it wants to. ive tried rebuilding it but it still runs like sh*t.
so im just gonna run the 750 and intake for awhile. i should have enough for the cam and heads sometime in may.

if the snow ever goes away 🙁

houndin101 brings up a good point... and I should have mentioned it too. A 750 is WAY too much carb for a stock 350. You might even find a 650 too much.

why not look for a used Q-jet off a 305 motor?

I think adding the 750 to your current setup will only make things worse.

what's wrong with your current 2 bbl? Walk us thru the symptoms it's showing... maybe someone can help you tune it.

yes even a 650 is a bit too much cause it chokes mine out sometimes but i plan on addin alot to mine so my 650 will fit good when im done....and adding a 750 lol yea it will run worse...floodin and all
