Horsepower Gains

In my opinion. unless you're making 400+ HP a 750 is to much.

Get the performer rpm intake and an edelbrock 600cfm. If you can get the thunder avs you'll be much happier. If not get a performer. That should give you room for a few more upgrades in the future too.

Oh, you already got the 750. Well it's going to need some tuning but should work well with your engine. It's way too much, but that won't compromise top end power. It will make throttle response and coming on the secondaries harder to tune, and just unresponsive in general at lower rpms. But if they offer aftermarket metering blocks, you could tune it with a lot more work and have it work just as well as anything else, but the time you'd spend doing it....

i dont have the money for all that. id rather buy one carb that will be good for the engine when its done

then buy a q-jet. they can go up to 850cfm but can be down tuned. they also provide better driveability and MPG.
there have been a few comparison tests run between Q's and holleys, they make the same power. though i will say that for hard core drag racing, you can retune the holley faster.

what are your future plans for the engine? I have a feeling you'd like a 600cfm edelbrock thunder avs best, carter will work but they're old and may need rebuilding.

megaladon is correct that the qjet would be best. But I'll bet you'd get frustrated with it a lot quicker and it'd be much more difficult to tune
