Hose clamp

I saw this posting for an 80' Vette selling the engine and had to wonder how you end up putting the worm screw clamp over the aluminum radiator hose clamp which also looks like it is facing the wrong way.
I can't even imagine that it would have a tight seal on the water neck but I am guessing it worked.

Maybe that is why he is selling the engine because it has a persistent coolant drip that he can't trace. 😉
