How can I check which transmission I have?

I'm fixing up my 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and I'm in the process of getting everything together to replace the belts and seals. I want to replace the transmission pan gasket because it's leaking, so I need to know which transmission I have. My engine is a 3.8L/231 V6. Any help is very appreciated.
