how can you tell what type of transmission u have?

I have a 83 cutlass supreme with a 307 V8 5.0 L ..just not sure what type of transmission it is is there a way I can look and see? And what do I look for?

If it has Overdrive then most likely its a 200r4 if it doesnt most likely its a Turbo350. best way to tell is the pan shape.
