how do 5 inch tach look in g body car

I'm thinking about putting a 5" tach in my 84 cutlass, I have a summit brand 3.5" tach now but I want one thats a bit bigger and better looking so you guys that have a 5" tach let me see how it looks and thanks.

Personally I think 5" might look a bit big. Mine is a 3 5/8 autometer, and I thought it was even a little bit big. Here's a pic anyways-

Every Regal/GN that has a tach has it in that exact same location lol. I bet even the holes in the dash would line up if you sold the dashpad to someone else.

the 5" doesnt look that much different. ITs all big and unsightly.

do a search for "floating tach mount" I can't remember who was making it, but they showed it on here awhile back, and eliminated the need to drill holes in the dash...

Thanks for the pics guy I will probably put my 5" right uder the dash by the steering wheel where my 3.5" tach is at now.
