hook up

i do all of my racing at the strip, only fools racs on the street!!!

hooking up a gbody is not easy to do,dot slicks and watching the rpms off the line will help.. i was stalling to 2200 and coming out half throttle for 30 feet or so was giving me 1.80's most of the time...i've finally got my car hooking up, but it is expensive and most people don't want to spend their money on rear ends .... this is what i have under mine

I get one big wide black stripe from the passenger side tire, My air bads are hooked up together but seperating them wouldn't be hard to do. I actually put a few more pounds in them to day and way able to hook up better. A mild 2000 rpm launch and little pedal control gets me going fairly strait, even, and aggressive.

Sounds like you need to split the feed on the air bags and lower the pressure on the pass side and add some to the dr side.

The black stripe is as wide as the tire, right? If not some adjusting of the air pressure and testing is in order.

Remember change one thing at a time and keep some notes or a journal of the tests so you know where you are.

My Regal has a Stg 1 455 in it so traction is a issue on the street, especially on street Radials.

If it's hot out most roads are "greasy" and will help the spin even after a good burn off.

Tke it easy on the start , low rpm launch.. then stab it. or roll on some sort of drag radials.

Another thing is the size of tire vs your eng HP and Torq outputs, that will also easily "overpower" your tires. Also Final drive Ratios.

In my case a 275/60/15 rear tire with 3:42 gears nice combo, even with the deep 1st gear of my 2004R trans.

Hope this helps

Rebuilt front end with poly , Comp 3 ways 70/30 D/S , 90/10 P/S , no sway bar .

Rear: Adjustible uppers, solid adjustible lowers, QA1's set at 8, 15/17# in R/R air bag , no rear sway or anti-roll

Twists to a 1.46 60' 10.272 @130.49 MPH

if its a actual T-type then i'd say theirs a 99% chance you have 3.42 gears.if you look on the underside of the trunk the Service Parts Identification(RPOcodes) sticker should be. AU6 is the code for 3.42's.as for you wanting to put a mini spool in you wont be able to with any factory posi (RPO G80) you need an "open" diff for that to work.
