If you go to the link above and scroll all the way down to the grand national pictured, this is exactly how I want my stock 84 cutlass to sit...with that being said, and all the G body guru's in here, how would I go about doing this? I see the wheel and tire combo which looks nice in itself, but, I believe this car is also lowered. How difficult of a task is this to do? Cost much?
Thanks fellas

I think he is talking about this photo

^^That one does look lowered. I thought he was talking about post #368 which looks stock height to me. Maybe it's not. Really, the best thing to do is PM the owner of that car (whichever one it is) to get specifics.

With the tire size appearing to be very different, it would be hard to say exactly what you would need to do to a car with stock sized wheels ( front and back ) to achieve a similar look. My car sits close to this but I have the stock sized wheels so the rears don't have that 'oversized' look or perceived rake.

Eibach lowering springs are always the best place to start if you want to lower your G-body IMO, then to lower the front a little more the SC&C stage 2 adjustable upper A-arms ( which also improves handeling ). This is what I have done and I get compliments all the time and IMO it sits about what that pic shows.

P.S. The guy who owns that GN better tuck that exhaust up better than that....

A viable alternative to the Eibach's are the OPGI drop springs. I've got the 2" drop springs with the SC&C Stage 2-gives me the lowered slight rake I'm looking for. You can also get 3" drop springs but that's a little too slammed for me for worry-free daily driving.

But, I agree with the previously mentioned suggestion; your best bet is to PM the owner or search for his build on the forum for guaranteed specs.

Cut your stock front springs until your happy. 😉 Just takes a little trial and error. That would be the cheapest option.

Next would be springs specifically made to drop the car but then your still at the mercy of how much drop the company decides to put in the spring. Might not be enough or may be too much depending on what your looking for.

Then there's coil over shocks/springs that would let you adjust them infinitely (to a point)

And likely the most expensive would be to bag it.
