Thanks for the video! Very informative and appreciated. I want to keep it as cost affective yet affective..make sense? I have spent a bunch on the car and basically im sick of spending lol. I bought a deh hd44 pioneer head and was thinking about something along these lines for speakers(doors, tweeters) i like the cost and they come recomended http://www.electronicsbonanza.com/c..._viewItem.asp?idProduct=17572&sku=13051&src=g
Then havent decided about the rear yet,im sure an 8 would be sufficient for bass.
those r nice... can you do a video on your interior, door panels, front and back, and rear section?

I am trying.It's taking forever
oh trust me, i know what you mean! I have tons of videos, I just wont upload cause it takes to long for me to edit them, normally i dont make the vids for youtube, more of for my kids to have documentation/memories etc. so when I do put them on youtube, its a softened up editing version, just take forever, that and im busy most of the time

Another question that has to do with wattage. If i run 2 tweeters and 4-6.5's from one amp..what wattage amp would i need? 600? 1800? remember no competition,no blaring out or showing off ..just clean music i can hear well.

doesnt really work quite like that, but you need to run whatever the rec. power (rms) is for the speaker... if you are running the speakers in the rear doors, I would go with some 5.25s and make a pod to go in the recessed area... hell even if you ran 5.25s in the front, would be fine (your not looking to compete and this will give you better value for your money and more space to work with), you can make some rings and put them in the doors in a clean decent looking manner and you should not need an amp with more than 300-400 rms, unless you are getting some crazy speakers, i mean i have a focals in my harley, and you can run those with a nice clean amp and be fine...

then run a shallow 10" sub in a nice enclosure in the back, you can easily integrate the box in one of those rear side panels, or make it against the rear seat in a nice clean box and be fine

Hey LSCustoms... I was wondering if you could help me as well. I'm looking to get a nice clean sound system also.

My car is an 84 Monte

A few years ago, I spent some change and has this set up professionally installed for my Cadillac and before I scrapped it, I pulled my system out. This is what I have

Bravox CS 50D Components http://www.bravoxaudio.com/csd.asp
Rockford Fosgate T-Series T1692C 6x9s http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate- ... B000JRFTVO
Profile AP740 4 Channel Amp http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1rfbD3KZ6b ... AP740.html
Alpine MRP-M350 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qjjqdPGEIn ... -M350.html
Pioneer DEH-P400UB Head unit http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... DEH-P400UB

I originally had a larger Kenwood amp & two 15'' subs but I sold them and they were too loud anyway.

Now I have my Monte and I am starting to take interest in electronics and audio so I want to tackle installing this for the sound but also the learning experience. Hopefully I understand everything about car audio by the time I'm done...

I can't do anything with the 5'' components yet as I need a kick panel to mount them in. I hope I can find one made for 5'' speakers, and before you recommend making my own, I am terrible with fabricating anything, lol.

I have the tweeters mounted nicely in the dash and tight using the adapter that was given for the Cadillac, although only one hole lined up, it's pretty snug. Forget putting 3.5's back in there, it was a pain getting them out, lol.

One guy mentioned how he hooked his tweeters to the head unit, I was planning on running wires to the amp but if it isn't needed then I don't know, what do you think about this?

I also need the adapters for the 6X9s, lol... I do have some 6x9 boxes though and would set them in the backseat temporarily.

For the sub woofers, I dunno... I have a bunch of 12s laying around but nothing special. I pulled what I think are 2 8'' subs out of the door panels of a 04 Dodge Ram before we got rid of it. I'm not sure if they are factory or what http://s855.photobucket.com/albums/ab11 ... ersubs.jpg they look pretty good, but they have those tweeters connected to them, I'm not sure if that is good or not. I'm guessing those are the amps for them as well if I'll even need them. I can't find any information on them over the internet. I would love to be able to mount them in the back similar to how Lincolns & Cadillacs mount their factory sub woofers but I'm open to suggestions. I don't know how to describe what I want from the bass correctly but I want the cleanest most premium (?) sound I can get - being heard is not my goal... What do you think about these 8'' subs?

The head unit has a 3 band equalizer and it's own HPF & LPF, are these features worth messing with from a head unit?

Thanks, Sorry for all the questions - any help is apprciated
