Has anyone used the Hydro-dip method doing a dash bezel, etc.? I'd like to do my dash gauge surround and console shift plate in the Carbon fiber style.
It does appear to be easy, but if I could get a few pointers of what to expect, etc.

We hydro dipped a buddies wheels in my bath tub and also the valve cover on his car, its pretty cool stuff. Best advice is to stick to the instructions, make sure the water isn't to hot, it has to be perfect temp or it will not stick right and you will spend hours peeling it off (messed up when trying on my valve cover and burned my hands) have you considered 3M's carbon fiber vinyl wrap? little easier and more straight forward.

Thanks for your input. Hopefully these parts won't be as much a hassle as doing wheels.
I have originally thought of using 3M Di-noc, but it's best used on flat and slightly curved surfaces. Whereas the Hydro-dip seems to get into all the nooks and crannies.

You may have a business close by willing to do the work. I was surprised to see we even have one in my small county.
Thanks, I might look and see if anyone locally does it...if not, I'll give it a go.

It's definitely really cool stuff, looks pretty amazing when it is done properly that's for sure.

Did you have to clearcoat it when it was done? The results do look pretty awesome.

From what I can tell, it does take a knack in doing it properly. I think I'm going like the end result, though.
