i have a 3.8 as well in my 01 bonnevile ssei the engines are bulletproof but be aware that the engines are more than capable of wiping out these transmissons so my advice is just drive the car and dont beat it because its not worth it, our gbodies are the ones for having fun anyways

180,000 is nothing on a 3800 it's just getting broke in


mine had a 140,000 on it before i modded it and it went 12.9 at 107mph. it too was a N/A 3.8 that i put the top end of the supercharged 3.8 on, put in a bigger cam, smaller pulley and headers on

damn thats not bad for just a couple mods
but i think ill just keep it as my winter car and drive the cutlass around in the summer
the cutlass is way to fun to let sit forever
unless im saving it from rust
then its ok 😀
