I broke it

My buddy had a Buick 455/T-400/3:42 in his '79 LeSabre. He broke so much stuff he finally gave up. TORQUE MONSTER!!!!

Bustin' parts is cool. Until you have to fork over the $$ to fix the stuff. Good luck with your TC. Perhaps if this next one doesn't hold up, you think Hughes wouldn't be your next converter of choice. Two strikes already sort of thing.

The first one was a stock replacement. But yeah, if this one craps out then i'm done with Hughes. Also, bustin parts is an excuse to upgrade. :mrgreen:

The one i just replaced was a standard Hughes 2000 BPO. The new one has the heavy duty sprag. On the two converters I broke both times it was the sprag that went. Hopefully this one will hold up, It was about $100 more. I got about ywo years out of the last one.

I’d assume pay more up front I just don’t see many expensive 2000 rpm converters
 
If they dont make it ....it dont exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
