My buddy sent me this, first off I can't believe someone would drive this car without bumpers, doors, seat belts, decklid, most of the glass, no lights etc. and then on top of that do something stupid enough for the car to end up like this and probably end your life at the same time
.

Probably driving it home from a paint shop. I remember one time I saw a vintage car with no front clip or license plates driving around.

test drives/shake downs are no joke.it's only natural to wanta glue your foot to the floor for the first time.we're all guilty.untested brakes, throttle sticks, old unfinished builds that come back around, the unexpected happens so fast.i don't know if you kids remember that really nice mercury comet that crashed a few years ago with the guy from autotopia.

I remember that and I thought the owner/builder was a complete idiot for driving that knowing he had a sticky throttle and had been constantly riding the brakes to try to control it and then they get in the car with 5 point harnesses but only put on the lap belt.

Not a square, straight, or true panel left on the wreck, not even the roof!! and the engine is entirely off its mounts and sitting on the ground beside the tree. Don't see any blood and guts on the ground so maybe the driver walked away?? Or staggered or crawled or lurched. And don't expect any love from the insurance company, whatever the cause or decision. That is a total write-off unless the owner is total OCD and chooses to cut away everything except the firewall and floor pan and rebuild it using AMD or OPGI resto-panels. Would not bet on the frame having escaped harm either.

Sadly looks to be blood all over the passenger door sills and ground and that steering wheel is an indicator that the driver probably took the full force of that into their chest. Super sad. Someone dream and project turned into a nightmare. Prayers for those involved for sure.
