I just replaced everything rebuilding the front suspension and now my wheels are rubbing on the tie rods, can someone tell what I got wrong? I think the upper control arms may be backwards ?

I found a veido on you tube of a guy rebuilding his suspension.he had his control arms mounted opposite of mine. so I just switched mine, but the outter tie rods are still rubbing on the wheels. I think now I may have gotten the wrong tie rods. I got it a complete kit off ebay, that said for all
"g bodys". I already had to get different lower ball joints because they were to big to press in the control arms. evidently not all g bodys are the same.

those are 1978 14x7 Camaro ralley wheels, they were close when I put them on, but they did turn, now that I replaced ball joints ,control arm bushings and tie rods ,rotors, they rub.

I notice you don't have an engine in it. I'm thinking that once you get the weight of the engine on the suspension, it'll line out. Those 14x7 camaro wheels have a deep back spacing.

Just my opinion.

I think you have the inner tierod where the outer blongs and vise versa. Just flip the whole setup around. The inners are usually bigger then the outers.

I think he has them on right, the grease fitting is on the inner is on the side and the outer has it on the bottom as you see in the picture. It could be he had a different brand that he replaced which was smaller...

Get the grinder out.

it was rolling without the motor in it. I went to auto zone and tried one of their outter tie rods, it was identical to the ones I have on there. i replaced the rotors with a pair of off brand ,I wonder if the were made shorter than the originals? i'll do some measuring tomorrow.
