It is $2700 and just needs a few minor things to look great. If I bought the 88 I may shy away from the performance stuff for a while and just work on "restoring" it and fixing the little details.

What are the minor things and have you priced them? As with the others, I think 2700 and the low mileage is not bad but you have to make sure why it was totalled out. Maybe a trip to a shop to have it checked out, I mean, you don't want a vehicle that goes down the road sideways or has other damage that mounds of bondo are covering up.

And if it works out now you have the time to figure out why the 87 isn't running ok. Could it be some of those hi-perf parts aren't dialed in correctly or they don't like each other? Not doubting your skills, just trying to save you some headaches in case by transferring those parts you're also transferring the problems. And what are these built-up parts if you don;t mind me asking - I'm just curious as most folks on here, myself included, feel the only way to build up a 307 is to replace it with a 350, 403 or a 455.

Let us know how it works out.

I cut cars in half and weld them back together for a living.

remind me not to buy a car from you.........................lol

Well that $2700 olds was gone in a hurry, I called the next day and it was sold already. I should have known it wasn't going to last.......
