So I got up early and went into the garage and opened the door and went to start to work on my GC's rear door lock, I started to remove the door panel and found that i needed a torx bit.Went back into the garage to look for it and realized i couldn't find my Craftsman bit set...I keep it on my tool cart and also realized that i was missing both my Matco 3/8 and 1/4 in socket sets and 3/8 Impact Cornwell swivel socket set as well!!! I looked all over the place trying to find them BUT i remembered that everything was on my cart after i pulled the fuel tank on Tuesday.. SOME ******* WALKED in to my garage and took my sh*t!! Literally!, i walked into the house to give my GF her valentines day gift after i put my tools and parts i pulled off the t-type away, was in the house for no more then 10 minutes and walked back out and messed with the fuel tank figured out i couldn't do anything then closed up the garage.Didn't even realize it till today when i needed them... The POS had the balls to walk in and just get the easiest items and run! He took about $600 in tools in a instant!! I filed a police report but they didn't even give a crap!! Man i'm pissed  Guess i'm going to have to close garage door everytime i come in the house now...Did i mention i am ****ING PISSED???

That's sh*t luck. I was always brought up to know not to mss with a mans' tools.

This reminds me to get the alarm system for our garage when it gets a little warmer out.

That takes a pair of balls. Thieves are getting brazen these days. Hope he gets his.

Sorry this happened to you. It's hard to imagine that people will do this to other people, but it's the world we live in. People think I'm crazy when I lock the house to go out to the garage, or lock the garage to come back to the house. I even roll up the windows and lock the doors at cruise nights. The best security system in the world isn't going to help if the door is wide open. Locking everything every time might.

I do this too, especially since I'm usually out there well into the a.m. Since the compressor is usually running and I have my back to the door when I'm blasting, I even lock the door while I'm in the garage so nobody creeps up on me. If $hit gets any worse I'll start taking my 1911 out there with me.

It's also a good idea to cut that plastic handle off of the garage door release string. Thieves use hooked rods to get under the door, snag the handle and then open you're garage door. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve so the door can't be lifted  . I don't even live in a bad neighborhood either.

Thieves/burglars are why I stepped up the arsenal and got a dog too. After having cars stolen and broken into throughout the years you begin to get tired of this $hit.

I usually think my wife is paranoid when she locks the door to do yard work. I normally don't leave my garage unattended... I'll close the door. Anyone can ride by, stop and help themselves. No one has ever entered my garage, but when I first moved in over 20 yrs ago, some redneck scumbag ripped me off for my rallye caps right on my driveway.
I knew who did it but couldn't prove it. I just gave him an indirect warning that if I caught the MF'er, I'd blow his brains out.

Yea definitely sucks, tools are expensive and usually are acquired over years. I know in my neighborhood, i lock up everything. But then again i live in the lovely city of Compton, CA. No Place Safer  sorry for ya loss bro

look on craigslist over the next few weeks. They might try to sell them. Go look at them and if they are yours just walk away with them and call the cops!

p.s. I believe that if you insure with hagarty's that they include tools and spare parts including a parts car in the price of your policy?
