I know it's Mopar but it includes Legos

Chrysler's quality sucks and I'm pretty sure they know it, so instead of selling quality, they sell fun. Go look at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep lot. Just look at the colors. In a world of black, silver, white and beige, they have purples, greens, yellows, blues, oranges and reds.

The only thing worse than the Chevy commercials are the Subaru radio commercials

I know that commercial made me want to buy one... even more than I already did.

I do and want another🙂.

Firebird usually faster????????? Only in 2 different years!!!! 89 turbo, 89 super rare 350 TPI 5 Speed, and one of the 93-up Firehawk years.

There's a reason the Smoky and the Bandit movie car had a Chevy engine in it!!!!
The Pontiac W72 400 was unrated at 220 hp, actual was about 270, not bad for the late 70's, was quicker than the Corvette at high 14's, low 15's in the 1/4. Did you forget the 73-74 Super Duty Trans Am as well? There is rumor, once sbc powered Chevy would not allow Pontiac to make as much power as even the Camaro. A couple of former Olds employed talked about how Chevorlet threw such a tantrum,( I picture a kid throwing themselves on the floor, screaming turning blue or ******** themselves)🙂. When Oldsmobile was about to release their 650 hp Hemi 455, it never came be for a few other reasons, looming insurance hikes and emissions. The motor made 400 hp with 8 to 1 compression and a .400" lift cam! Everybody knows in GM nothing could make more power than the Corvette. The Grand National and TTA numbers are proof of that. Competition among divisions made GM the best, now there is no divisions that count anymore. Buick will never sell anything worth buying again. The only interesting thing is Cadillac's new V8. Wonder why a lot of us don't care anymore? I didn't know about the 350 TPI 5 speed, interesting, there must have been T-5's dying under warranty or it would have continued.

Amazing how those 3 are Buick and Chevy powered.

Of those three, the Buick blows them away. The Pontiac V8's were always competitive, just like Buick and Olds were. I mentioned the the 78 and 79 400 4spd Firebird and the 73 and 74 Super Duty, actually makes it 4 years, all Pontiac power. Getting back to this thread, notice how Dodge's Hellcat Redeye makes 100 hp more than GM's 6.2 Supercharged V8? Of course even Ford's 5L truck motor makes more power than GM's 5.3, good job GM.

It is all relative. A well maintained/tuned Buick turbo V6 is indeed a force to be reckoned with, otherwise it gets replaced by a SBC. Same goes for a poorly set up LS6 454 versus a super-tuned and optimized Poncho 326.

The difference between the 6.2 in the ZR1 and the Redeye is now about 45hp. And then there is the weight penalty for the Mopar. Ford's DOHC engines are a packaging nightmare - and overly complex for the task.

Again, it is all relative.

Fast is fast in my books. If it is a slow or under-performing POS it is the owner's fault.

Yes, the Corvette should be faster, still 50 less hp and a totally different animal. The Camaro is still 150 hp down. Doesn't matter if the Camaro made a million, I wouldn't own one, just sooooooooooo ugly. Packaging nightmare or not, more hp and torque from a smaller displacement. I do like the new Gen 5 5.3 and 10 speed, much better than the last version. The 5.3 and 6 speed were awful to drive, always seemed out of it's power band. My big issue with DOHC motors is timing chain issues. The GM 3.6 V6 and Ford 3.5 EcoBoost and maybe others, I know both have had issues with chains failing at low miles. Loving my 3.6 DOHC Pentastar so far. Other than early casting issues, few problems with them.
