I have a pretty funny story for everyone about women drivers, and how they can make you money from their stupidnes.
This chick I know calls me up and tells me her back wheel is making lots of grinding noises, and randomly locking up. It has been making the noise since about last fall, it just started locking up, she tells me.

So I just automatically assume the drum brakes are shot, I tell her I will go over there to see how bad it is. After getting the rusty *ss lug nuts off(only broke one stud off :lol🙂, I spend about another 5 minutes beating the drum with a hammer. I finally brake it loose, take it off and all of the springs, shoes adjusters, etc. fall to the ground. She asks "Is that supposed to do that?". I of course tell her HELL NO! I have never seen anything that bad! The shoes were completly mangled, no evidence that any friction material ever existed, not even dust. Of course all of the springs and other stuff were also a twisted mangled mess!

So i tell her a garage will probably charge about 600-700 bucks, so I guess I will help you out and just charge 150 plus parts. I know I should charge more than that, but I guess thats what friends are for. Its definately money I didnt have before, so I cant b*tch.

Just goes to show that womens stupidity can sometimes work out in your advantage. 8)

I have fixed plenty of cars for girls I worked with over the years. Since most of them were poor and in bad situations, I usually didn't charge them much, if at all. I've done water pumps, radiators, alternators, brakes, drive axles, etc. for charity and not to get somewhere with the girls as many of them were not people I was attracted to anyways. Guys on the other hand, I do charge. I figure a man who can't fix his own car is not really a man and I have no pity on them.

Luckily her boyfriends mom will pay for it, so I really dont feel to bad.

man or woman i would charge. its bussiness-not personal. I prolly would have been $200 plus parts.

How much for rearend if ya still have it.

It all depends how much I actually have to do.
If it's a buddy of mine and he just hasn't done whatever needs to be done and wants someone to make sure he doesn't fudge up, yeah it's a freebie.
But if I barely know you, or it's going to be a major PITA, then sorry but you payin me.
In high school a girl I used to date had her alternator go. Her guy at the time didn't know jack, so she payed $400 to have an alt changed on a Sunfire.
I coulda done it that afternoon, $50 alternator....
I guess she's right, he's a way better guy.
Course I can't say much, after we split I bagged most of her friends in the back of my 82 Cutlass, lol

i actually used to fix my battel buddys car when i was in the army for a 12 case of beer and a large pizza as long as they bought the parts. i just liked fixin cars. some people would just give me the money, but then id just buy a 12 pack and a pizza. i did learn not to drink the beer till after i was almost comepletely done.
